BiographiesMichael and Vicky Barr Michael and Vicky Barr have been dancing together since 1966,
becoming World Amateur Champions in 1972 and again in 1973. They turned
professional in 1973 and toured the world, demonstrating, lecturing,
teaching and competing in ballroom dance championships, gaining an ever
increasing list of credits, which includes Six times European, five
times UK, five times British Open and five times World Professional
Champions. David Sycamore and Denise Weavers David and Denise began dancing together in 1970, moving up the
amateur ranks until 1978 when they won the World Amateur Latin-American
and 10 Dance Championships for the first time. They successfully
defended their title the following year and turned professional. In
1981 they won the Professional World 10-Dance Championship and the
World Cup, repeating these successes in 1982 and 1983 when they also
added the British (Closed) Professional Latin American Championships to
their list of achievments. Epsen and Kirsten Salberg Norwegian born Espen and Kirsten are the world's best loved
champions of Latin American Dance. Donnie Burns and Gaynor Fairweather Scottish born Donnie and Gaynor from Stockport have won an impressive list of titles which includes all the major championships as an Amateur including The World Amateur Latin Championship, European, International British and American. Donnie is 14 times undefeated World Professional Champion, (13 times consecutively from 1984-1996 and again in 1998),World Professional Showdance Champion, 5 times Grand Slam winner, 3 times Carl Alan Award winner (the prestigious award for personal achievement) and was undefeated. |
